Acura RSX:

-Dismantling and slight modification of the fender may be necessary

-Only for Two door models

-The original wire harness can be used by rerouting, therefore a drill hole in the A-pillar might be necessary. For further information, please check the installation notes

-The Standard indicator at the fender has to be slightly modified or replaced

One LSD kit includes:

- Pre-assembled LSD hinges with gas shock

- Mounting hardware for hinges

- Wire set for vehicle specific extensions of wire harnesses including mounting material

- Insulated wire connectors including flexible insulation tape

- TV certificate

The LSD door system consists of a specific door hinge which initially opens the factory door 30 degrees outwards, like a common car door and then upwards by the support of a gas shock with minimal effort.

The door opens in 2 steps:

Step 1: Open the door outwards as usual to a maximum angle of approximately 30 degrees. Allowing comfortable access to enter and exit the vehicle.

Step 2: Lift the door after reaching the opening angle of 30 degrees. This is done with ease as the door is supported by the gas shock to an angle of approximately 40 degrees.

The LSD door hinges are installed at the original mounting points of the dismantled factory hinges. A range of adjustability is built into each LSD door hinge for perfect alignment and operation. Additional features also include limits that prevent the doors from being open too far as well as avoiding contact of the rocker panel.

Pre-installation check list:

- Battery disconnected

- Front bumper removal

- Front fender removal

- Disconnect the wire harness between chassis and door

- Disassemble the door.

Mounting the ground plate to a pillar and door:

- Modify the fender according to instructions (cutting the edge)

- Modify the door, depending on the vehicle model (drilling an additional hole, cutting the edge)

- Mount the ground plate to the mounting points of the chassis

- Mount the swing arm to the mounting points of the dismantled door

Assembly and Alignment:

- Mount the door to the vehicle and completely close it

- Mount the swing arm loose to the ground plate and adjust it by moving the door

- Adjust the bolt for closing the door

- Hang (mount) the gas shock on the mount point of the swing arm, secure it with the kit supplied security ring

- Close the door and let the door lock and set in place

- Adjust opening angle and limitation

- Run the wires and fix them with wire straps

- Mount the fender to the vehicle, pivot the door carefully up and make sure there is sufficient clearance on the fender, A-pillar and hood

- Safety and quality are LSDs highest priorities.
